About HawaiiAbout North Shore Shark AdventuresHawaii AdventuresThe Ocean

Are you the adventurous type taking a trip to Oahu, Hawaii by yourself? Congrats! You get to do what you want, when you want! Obviously it’s fun to share experiences with friend and/or family, but things can get slowed down or you might end up missing something epic because others didn’t want to do it in the first place. Well here are a few fun / adventurous things to do that will definitely take up your vacation time and leave you wanting more!

Surf Lessons in Waikiki

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to tame the waves, now’s your chance. Waikiki is full of places that would love to teach you. The waves are perfect for beginners and there are lots of people that are learning as well. So you won’t feel stupid when you fall from your board. There are many surf instructors here that will help you conquer surfing through expert advice and private lessons.

Snorkeling and Whale Watching

Snorkeling is all year around, but Whale Watching is only November through May. Some great places to snorkel are E-Beach, Hanauma Bay, Sharks Cove, or Lanikai Beach. For an up close and personal sight seeing of hump back whales, book a tour through North Shore Shark Adventures. They have a Whale Encounters division that caters to this. http://whaletoursofhawaii.com/

Go Kayaking from Kailua Beach

One of the coolest Kayaking trips is renting a Kayak from Kailua Beach and Kayaking out to the Moku Islands. You can only kayak to one of them, but you’ll know which one it is because it’s the only one with a beach. Go in the morning to give yourself enough time explore and hang out.

Hike to a Hawaiian Waterfall

Oahu is chalk full of waterfalls and serene trails that lead up to them. Some fun ones are Manoa Falls, Lulumahu Falls, and Maunawili Falls.

Take a tour with North Shore Shark Adventures

Since you’re already the adventurous type, this tour is sure to be the highlight of your solo vacation. Conquer your fear of sharks by shark cage diving on the North Shore of Oahu. You’ll learn that sharks are graceful creatures and you’ll witness first hand as you’re suspended in a cage surrounded by a school of sharks ranging from 5 ft to 15 ft long.
