Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are currently operating at 25% capacity and with less people on the boat you get as much time in the cage as possible!

The cage can easily accommodate 8 people, but with current social distancing, about 5 will go in each group. If you have booked with a larger group (who are in your “safe” bubble) speak to the captain about all going in at the same time.

We will have one or two cage drops per tour depending on the boat being used. You only get one turn in the cage.

Yes, you can be up to 7 months pregnant.

Mostly Galapagos and Sandbar sharks which can reach up to 12+ feet (4 meters). Occasionally, Tiger or Hammerhead.

Humpback whales (December-May), occasionally kava kava tuna, mahi-mahi, shearwater, boobie, and Hawaiian Ewa (frigate) birds.

No. The top of the cage stands about two feet out from the water.

Yes, and cold drinking water. No fins needed.

Yes, we encourage clients to bring their equipment as long as it doesn’t interfere with others in the cage. We also offer high-definition video service.

No. The water is warm enough (winter months: 76-78 degrees F / 79-81 degrees in summer). If you feel the need, you’re welcome to bring your own; we don’t rent them.

Yes. Check in at the Shark Shack and we’ll direct you to the parking.

We recommend it, but please follow the directions on the package. We do not offer it or have it available. It is often helpful to take the medication the night before and at least one hour prior to boarding the boat.

You may experience motion sickness and nausea so eat at least an hour prior to your tour.

Yes at $43 pp + tax and based on availability. Call us at 808-228-5900. A credit card is required to reschedule but you don’t pay until after the tour by cash or credit. We may waive the fee at our discretion.

Yes, our staff is available to assist and safety is our first priority. The customer should have the physical strength and agility to descend and ascend a vertical ladder.

Yes. Transit time is 2-3 hours each way. You can ask for assistance from your hotel concierge or front desk. From Waikiki, head to any bus stop and ask the next bus driver how to get to Haleiwa boat harbor.
