At North Shore Shark Adventures, the health and safety of our visitors and team members has always been our number one priority. As we reopen tours during the COVID-19 pandemic we are implementing new protocols.
Please bring your own underwater mask and snorkel. If you cannot bring your own, we will provide them, but we prefer you bring your own if at all possible. New underwater masks tend to fog easily. To remedy this, we recommend scrubbing the inside glass and silicone surfaces with toothpaste a couple of times before your tour. We will try to have masks available for purchase as well, supplies permitting.
According to CDC, symptoms of COVID-19 include: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or at least two of the following symptoms: chills, shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and loss of taste or smell.
Please stay home if you are sick! We understand nobody wants to miss out on their experience, but it is so important to the safety of our team and other passengers that if you feel any symptoms that could be COVID-19, you let us know so we can reschedule your tour*. If anyone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19 or have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days, please let us know and we will reschedule your tour.*
We will be taking the temperature of all passengers before boarding our vessels and if your temperature is 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or more or if we witness COVID-19 symptoms you will be asked to reschedule your tour*.
All passengers will be required to wear face coverings when not in the cage. Our captains, crew and other team members will also wear face coverings.
We will practice social distancing measures while at the harbor before your tour and while onboard our vessels during our tours.
We will sanitize all high touch areas like railings, seats etc. before and after each tour. All of our underwater masks will soak in a bleach sanitization solution for at least 20 minutes in between uses.
We will provide hand sanitizing stations throughout the vessel and at the check in kiosk.
Our captains and crew will take their temperature before the start of each day and will be subject to COVID-19 testing when warranted.
*Reschedule fees for COVID-19 symptoms will be waived and you must be symptom free for at least 3 days before the date of your rescheduled tour.
