A day at North Shore Shark Adventure – Shark Cage Diving Hawaii
White sands, blue waters and swaying palm trees. It’s easy to imagine lazily lounging on one of Hawaii’s gorgeous beaches; waves lulling you into a warm afternoon nap. A perfect way to relax and enjoy a day at the beach! But as you stir from your slumber you look out into the warm waters and wonder — what else is out there??

AND THAT! Is where North Shore Shark Adventures answers your question. Sharks are out there and we can’t wait to help you see them! We strongly encourage you to get off the beach and into the waters for an amazing experience that is perfect for groups, families and friends.
A typical shark cage snorkel tour will have you out on the ocean in one of our custom aluminum boats for approximately 1.5 hours. We will give you an informative safety briefing so you feel comfortable and prepared for what to expect inside the cage. We will also give you a quick history of our shark tour and answer any questions you have. Our first priority is your comfort and safety! During the ride you will have a breathtaking view of Oahu’s North Shore from a perspective you can never get on land.
Once we reach the dive site our experienced crew will help you enter the cage. Our cages can comfortably fit up to 8 people. You will spend about 20 minutes under water and get up close and personal with Galapagos and Sandbar sharks. Sharks in this area usually range in size from five to fifteen feet and are attracted by the sound of our boat. Occasionally we do see Tiger and Hammerhead sharks. The sharks will swim extremely close to the cage, allowing you a once in a lifetime opportunity to see eye to eye with the ocean’s top apex predator.
As they glide past you will be able to truly appreciate their size, beauty and agility.
Besides sharks our guests may see Humpback Whales (between December and May) large tuna, barracudas, Mahi Mahi, and Boobie and Hawaiian Ewa birds. Green sea turtles, spinner dolphins and flying fish are also commonly spotted.
