Have you ever wondered whether Whale Sharks make their way to Hawaii? Though extremely rare, they do. Not only are the winter months in Hawaii considered Humpback Whale season, you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the biggest fish in the sea, the Whale Shark (don’t forget that whales are mammals).

These bad boys can get up to 40 feet long. Don’t worry, these glorious creatures put the “Whale” in “Whale Shark” as they are docile, skimming the waters with their large mouths for small organisms to munch on, similar to whales. Slow swimmer, many people get the chance to snorkel in open water with them. As for others, like tourists at North Shore Shark Adventures, they were able to see one from within the shark diving cage while others saw it from the boat.
